The Christmas shopping season is rapidly approaching and once again Fremantle BID will be running a a Christmas Window Competition for our member businesses.

With your help, we want to put Fremantle on the map as a must visit location for people in search of beautiful Christmas light displays. Get your creative genius working now and see if you can beat the stunning display that last year’s individual winner, Bill Campbell’s Books, produced.

This is a great visual marketing opportunity for your business – make the display eye catching and ensure you incorporate your products and lots of lights to entice shoppers into the store. Last year we had businesses selling out of products in their windows before we even judged them!

To encourage you to create some magic this year, we will again be offering some great prizes. The BID will also produce a Fremantle Christmas Lights Map that will be widely distributed through a variety of channels to attract visitors to the CBD. All the businesses that participate will be included on the map. The top 20 businesses as voted by our judges will also be included on an electronic map on the Fremantle Story website.

We encourage any Fremantle business that has street facing windows to be involved. You don’t have to be a retailer – the more Christmas lights the better!

Our prize categories for this year are Best Individual Window, Top 6 Windows and People’s Choice (see below for prize details). This means that while you’ll want to make your business stand out, it’s also important to involve your customers and social media followers so they vote for you.

If you need inspiration or assistance check out our Christmas Windows board on Pinterest for some great ideas, including some of last year’s entries.
