Fremantle Business Improvement District (BID), has appointed Nicci Workum as interim Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation whilst a formal recruitment process is undertaken.
Nicci has worked with the organisation for two and half years and believes that we have fantastic, unique businesses in Fremantle. Nicci brings extensive strategic planning, project management and performance evaluation to the position.
In addition, as a previous board member of several not-for-profit organisations, including the Conservation Council of WA, she has a good understanding of the governance requirements of the BID.
Having worked with the BID for over two years, and as the owner of a retail business and a Fremantle resident, Nicci has a strong understanding of the issues facing the Fremantle business community.
“The BID is committed to building on the progress we have made over the last couple of years through our retail programs. We’re looking forward to implementing our new business plan and continuing to work with our members and other stakeholders on the development of innovative strategies to support the Fremantle business community.” Nicci said.
BID Chair, Karl Bullers said “Nicci is well placed to step into the CEO role as she has a clear understanding of the way the BID operates and our plans for the next three years. She is an experienced administrator who will be able to ensure our operations run smoothly while we undertake a formal recruitment process for the CEO position.”
